Watch Repair Services By Professionals
Our professional repair specialists know how to service your watch -- whether it is a standard movement or an intricate watch with multiple complications. We know how to do it right.

Our expert repair technicians and watchmakers have the tools and testing equipment need to ensure that your timepiece is repaired and tested to factory specifications.

Our Watch Repair Services
We offer a very broad range of repair services so your watch will look and run as it should, including:

Complete Movement Service -- mechanical watch
Complete movement service is a complex process which starts with the watchmaker inspecting your timepiece to determine which repairs are needed. Next your timepiece is completely disassembled, piece by piece, and parts are placed in a cleaning machine. At the same time, the case and bracelet are cleaned ultrasonically before being polished and reassembled. After the watch parts are thoroughly cleaned, the watchmaker painstakingly reassembles your watch, and lubricates with special oils. Broken parts are repaired or replaced. Final adjustments and fine tuning assure accurate timekeeping.

Then your timepiece is tested on our state-of-the-art timing equipment and final adjustments are made. If your watch is water resistant we will test the water resistance to factory specifications and replace, if necessary any component such as the crown, crystal, buttons, or gaskets in order for the water resistance of your watch to come back to factory specifications.

From there your watch goes into Quality Control -- "QC". We will wind and run your watch for several days to be certain that it keeps accurate time in all different positions, and that the day and date, if on your watch, change properly. If your watch is an automatic wind, that we place your watch on a winding wheel which simulates the motion on your wrist to see if your watch winds appropriately and runs accurately. Our complete movement service carries a full year's warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. Sorry but we cannot insure your watch against dropping, damage, or rust, or if the watch is opened by anyone other than our shop.

Complete Movement Service -- quartz watch
Complete movement service on a quartz watch is similar to a mechanical watch except that the electronic parts, of course, cannot be placed in cleaning solution to clean. However, on an analog quartz watch there are many moving parts that need to be cleaned, adjusted, replaced if necessary and reassembled. Calendar wheels and day/date wheels can be especially tricky to reassemble.

Watch Repair and Maintenance
Many manufacturers recommend routine servicing of your mechanical watch, even if it is running properly. This preventative maintenance, as described in the complete movement service section above, removes dirt and grime that may have accumulated in your watch, and which cause the finely fit pivot points to wear.  Your cleaned, oiled, reassembled, time tested and pressure tested timepiece will perform longer and better with routine maintenance.

Movement exchange
Quartz movements, even in moderate or higher priced watches, can often be totally replaced rather than repaired. Generally we can obtain an exact match for your movement or a movement of equal quality. Generally the cost is less than complete movement service, and you will have a factory fresh, complete new engine for your watch. Our movement exchanges carry the same one year's warranty as our complete movement service does.

Watch Crystal Replacement
The crystal is the clear glass or plastic that covers the front of your watch. Crystals are made of various materials, and are subject to scratching or breaking. Our parts department stocks tens of thousands of crystals which we can use, or, if not in stock, we can order the crystal to fit your watch.

If we replace only your damaged or broken crystal, the service is considered a "partial job." Generally we will recommend complete service, especially if the crystal was shattered or is missing, as dirt and glass shards that will have entered the movement will likely result in your watch stopping soon after the crystal replacement.

Stem and Crown Replacement.
Your watch stem is the long, thin part that connects the crown (the part you use to wind or set your watch) to the watch. If your stem and crown are broken or damaged we can often replace them. However, this is a "partial job" and we will often suggest a complete repair as dirt or grime may have entered your watch, or the watch may have been further damaged when the stem and crown were damaged or knocked off.

Battery Replacement
We will gladly replace your watch battery, and we would be happy to pressure test your watch as well. If you have a stainless steel or gold watch (not plated) we recommend a trio of battery replacement, pressure testing and polishing. Your watch will sparkle.

Capacitor replacement
Solar or motion powered watches have capacitors, which are similar to rechargeable batteries. We can replace your capacitor to get your watch running again.

Perpetual calendar watch repair
If your perpetual calendar watch needs a battery, it will also need resetting. This process can be cumbersome and complex and may need to be performed with the case back removed. We can replace the battery in your perpetual watch and reset your watch the same time.

Complex quartz watch repair.
Nowadays, quartz watches can have many functions -- several time zones, alarms, chronographs, day/date, touch screen, compasses, and many more. The display can be analog, digital, or mixed. Obviously the more complex your watch is, the more difficult the repair can be, yet we can repair most of these complex quartz watches, as our repair technicians continually keep themselves up to date on new movements and watch functions.
